msia

so now that chua soi lek is sacked from the party, his supporters within the party are coming up with all sorts of banners, posters to 'call' for his restoration to the party. if you have no idea what i m talking about, go to www.malaysiakini.com and have a look :)
i was just wondering, for the money that are used to print these banners, why not channel these money to helping those who need help? i mean, printing all those banners need money and these money should really be put into better use. of course, some might say that these are essential to achieve their aims, to get what they want. but come on, so much drama in msian politics these days. so much resources wasted on these seemingly meaningless battles.
the country is lagging behind in terms of growth, in terms of how the whole country is doing. and our leaders seem to have so much time in internal battles. what exactly are their purposes of being the leaders of the people? to lead is to serve others. NJ's motto says 'service with honour'. why bother being the leader of the people if what you want primarily is your own benefits. there are so many other avenues to get wealth and money (if that is what you want)
this is a country where people worked hard for years, to feed their families, in search of better lives for themselves and for their children. this is a place where many of us hold fond memories of. this is a place where we have called home and we want to call it home forever. but is this what our home is? a country that seems to be so messy politically. our leaders cant bring themselves together to serve the people.
yes, tomorrow is malaysia's birthday, a celebration of 51 years of independence. it is time for us to reflect on how far our country has progressed throughout these years. it is a time for us to realize that our progress is hindered by many factors that can be avoided. it is a time for us to come together (not superficially) to think for the better of this country. we need leaders who want to serve the people. we need this kind of leaders badly.

went to bodhi night last night. really proud of fellow muarian, khai yi who is the president of unsw buddhist society :) haha. the sketch was quite funny. but the most fun part was post bodhi night. haha. supposed to go back and continue working on my assignment. but well, the empty library lawn was too tempting and inviting. so kelvin, ken, kassie, sis and i ended up lying on the lawn and taking lots of stupid photos on it. then when we were passing by the international walkway on the way back to lower campus, we saw the 'ball' where people always take graduation photos at. and guess what, there was a dan murphy's trolley there! took more photos!!! haha, esp since kassie was super high from the previous camwhoring sesison. lol. and then kassie was pushed down from middle campus to lower campus on the trolley! LOL. that was funny! hahaha. then we decided to go to maccas. saw kyloon at the bus stop. hahaha. poor him, he was waiting for hong gee's sis to get a bus to go to maroubra. LOL. half an hour before the bus came. that was looong! lol. must be due to traffic jam near moore park where they had AFL game. at maccas, saw the AFL game replay. OMG, the players look like rocks (ken used this word to describe them first) haha. but seriously, they look sooooo fit and scary. look like if you happen to knock into them on the street, you will be bounced off. LOL

played semi final in badminton at IH Open today. hahahaha. lost to lester and janice who was the eventual winner. but ya, they played well :) thanks to grace and shuying who came down to watch :) and had a good time playing with the rests after that too ^-^

tired tired and getting back to work. i m still pretty stucked at torts. rarh.

happy birthday, DAD! :)

Barisan's leaders have become estranged and detached from the needs and aspirations of the rakyat. That's why they just might lose the next election - they care about power struggles, control of resources and positions, and vested interests. They might just lose the next general election. With a weak opposition coalition, there's not much we can hope for as well.

Malaysia's story is one of sufficient resources but gross mismanagement. So it depends on the next generation (us) to help fix things! Otherwise our children will ask us in the future "Why did you let this happen?" just as we are asking our parents this now
