it is week 3 already.

assignments are going to be due really soon.

it is a 12 week semester. cant believe that i have completed one forth of it.

anyway, xiuling has reached the end of week 2. yupp! just for your info, the courses that i m doing this semester are:
ECON1101: MICROECONOMICS 1
ECON1202: QUANTITATIVE METHODS A
ACCT1501: ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT 1A
LAWS1052: FOUNDATIONS OF LAW

QMA is like math. but the questions are pretty different. very real life kind and ya, more applied to finance.
microecons, they are gonna finish the j1 topics in 12 weeks. the questions are more comparatively more quantitative too
accounting is new to me! so is law!

anyway, so ya, the rain! on one fine saturday (14th March). left ncv at about 245pm. left international house at 310pm. walked to coogee beach. reached there at about 350pm. started queuing up. btw, if i havent mentioned, the weather forecast said that there would be thunderstorm. but it was all sunny and warm when we left. so my sunscreen and lotion were all at work before we left. anyway, so we started queueing. did i mention? i didnt have breakfast or lunch. so ya... long long queue. thanks fiona for getting me a slice of pizza! and then the mso ppl was kind enough to pass us some pizzas and garlic bread. and then........ IT RAINED! POURED!!! PRACTICALLY POURED!!!!! so after nearly 2 hours of queueing up, we ran all the way to the shelter. it was just across mcD. then we ran across the road to mcD, braving all the rain and stuff.
so, while we were trying to kinda dry ourselves with towel and stuff, the rain stopped. so after all the running and stuff, and running across the road, the rain stopped!! seriously.......... sigh...

xiuling waited to be under the rain for 2 consecutive days. what a stupid thing to do!!! argh!!!!!

mardi gras 2009

left ncv at 415pm although the parade only starts at 745pm

it was already quite crowded when we got to oxford street. oh ya, along the way, the sight is just so eye opening. hahahaha.

anyway, went to hungry jack's for dinner at about 5pm. then went back to just stay around and look around. haha.

was standing there until 1015pm! goodness! that is almost 6 hours of standing. wow! went to mcD after that to catch some supper after reaching kingsford.

went to melbourne from 28th feb to 3rd march

went to taronga zoo on 6th march

got my A level results on 6th march

cooked fried rice

fire alarms were triggered off again and again. rarh!

had a small house warming

won $5 from kyloon at the kai xin restaurant, cos i managed to remember 6 names! wahaha

went to mardi gras on 7th march

lessons started

managed to get my program changed from commerce to commerce/law, even though it was after walking up and down the campus many many times

xiuling hasnt cooked any dishes for the whole week. she only cooked rice and helped to cook pasta that day. thanks to kyloon. wahahahahahaha :)

went to ru xing's house warming

went to roundhouse once and that is enough

went to chareli's house till 230am on 14th march

went to somewhere with coooool desktops

ate super nice steaks at hurricanes

went to pancakes by the rock

oh yes!

went for australian school of business (asb) welcome
the talks were pretty boring
they started on time
many asian looking people came late
pretty boring but didnt leave

during break, signed up for FMAA and Capital W

more talks

during lunch break, had lunch. wrote our names down for UNIT
rushed to optus shop at randwick to get our phone card.
rushed back to uni for the campus tour

went to randwick again to buy some grocery

spent a lot of money today. rarh.

xiuling realizes that she doesn't have enough time to update in super great details her everyday here in sydney.

so yupp, SUMMARY TIME!!

day1

had some tiny sleep on the plane
took a taxi to unsw
carried luggages into new college village building
checked in
got my key to letter box and my access card
unpacked a little
went to uni
hahaha, the main walkway was quite crowded and ppl were giving out fliers
went to see where to do student card. the queue was long. omg!
took the free diary
went to iss to register
commonwealth bank to open accounts. super long queue. left our names there
Mcdonald's for lunch
back to commonwealth bank
after waiting for nearly 1 hour, finally my turn and got it done. kaichin forgot her passport. so she had to run back to ncv to get it and back to the bank. Haha
cant really remember, went back to ncv, i think. unpack again. Haha

oh ya, had the NCV MEET AND GREET session at 9pm. met many people and stayed on till
nearly 11pm. too tired le. went back to sleep.
