michele just told me that she will be leaving for london tomorrow. can't imagine, that is so fast!! michele gal, take care there, ok? i m sure you will be very fine there with your cousin and since you are belong there (at least officially) :)

michele and xiuling :)

gal, i have always been proud of you. how you brave it through despite all the challenges, how you are always so caring and cheerful and emo at times, how you are so dedicated and disciplined. i havent seen you for really long. the last time we met was most probably in december last year? thank you for all the help and tolerance and care! i m sure we will still have lots to talk about and we have to play captains ball together some time!!

i would say that i have always been blessed with good friends, people who are so accommodating and helpful. but i guess i m not very good at maintaining my relationship with people. lost touch with some people whom I was really close to. i m really grateful for my group of friends at NJ who had to bear with my constant nonsense and my stupid behaviour. a lot of thanks to sining, yipeng, soumya, radhika, vivi, shenyang, michele, ivy and of course my pw group :) and to my council friends as well, thank you so much for all your tolerance and hopefully i wasnt too much of a trouble. haha. and my dance friends, thank you for all the help that you guys have given me throughout my 1.5 years with the group. it is through this cca that i learnt to 'JUST DO IT'. thank you really much. very proud of your 'gold with honours' and 'gold'!! :) :)

COUNCIL!!!! :)

Buddies! :)

THE BEST PW GROUP! NJ074! HAHAHA :)

the guys are mostly in NS. the gals are mostly in uni or are leaving overseas for uni. i m grateful for the 6th group (kat, ching, phuong, ha, quynh, sam) it is nearly 3.5 years that we have been writing to each other on the 6th. hopefully this goes on forever and we are always informed about each others' lives! :) :) havent seen you guys in ages too!!

the only constant in life is change.

mum asked if i was adapting well to international house. i was at a loss of what answer to give. maybe it is because for the past 4.5 years, i have experienced more changes than there had been in the other 15 years. changes have happened so frequently (change school, change hostel, change environment, change classmates, change CCA, change country, change teacher) there have been so much changes i guess i m adapted to changes. whatever circumstances that i was put in, automatically and subconsciously, i adapt. is that good or bad? i dont know. maybe some people will say that it is wonderful, because that means that i m flexible and adaptable and i can survive in many places. but the downside is, i tend to not have too much personal bonds with stuff around me. and that makes me cold-blooded ya?

i realized that this post is full of blabbering. sorry!

6 months

So it is exactly 6 months since i arrived here on Oz land.
Maybe it is time for some reflections on what i have learnt and how much i have changed throughout these 6 months. that shall be my "entertainment". Haha.

Life has been with the books all the time these few days. preparing for tests/exams and doing up assignment. RARH.

definitely looking forward to spring break :D

just some points to think about if you are bored:
- How pervasive and critical is the problem of obesity in Msia? Do we need a education program for parents like the one that NSW is starting on?
- How important do you think a public library is in a town/city?

a friday update

this is a thread that i think is worth reading, especially if you are a MALAYSIAN! :)

http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/25886/84/

have been pretty addicted to coffee nowadays. one cup a day. i normally get it from coffee republic cos it is the nearest cafe! haha. attached is a photo of the coffee cup that i m always drink from! :) :) :)people always say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. does a cup of coffee a day keeps the doctor away too? or maybe it keeps the ulcers away ya.

speaking of that, i havent had ulcer for pretty long. i m sure ching, won and dharl can remember the times when i had multiple ulcers fo often. haha. i dont like ulcers, so if coffee keeps them away, coffee is GOOD! :)

remember the parcel that i was talking about. sis helped me collect it from the office on thursday. she told me that it was from lawyers weekly. erm, when did i subscribe anything from lawyers weekly and why would lawyers weekly send me a parcel? hahaha. it was book inside, with a note that says 'congratulations'! hahaha. what on earth is that? :) and then i read the title of the book, and then i realized!!! hahaha. i entered a competition on lawyers weekly website a few weeks back and the winner gets the book. the question was just who the lead character in that book was. hahahahahaha. so yupp! my 2nd parcel in Australia comes from lawyers weekly! (first parcel was my results from mum) ^-^

went for mamak night last night at marsh room at roundhouse. was there really early cos we really wanted the food. the food was catered from ivan's. not that fantastic, but not bad as well. luckily we were early before the satay chicken ran out. hahaha :) wanted to leave early, but somehow stayed there all the way until 930pm! had a good time talking and meeting up with some friends though. and met henry and lilin there. LOL. Henry's presence can be explained as he is an indon. but Li? hahahahaha. got induced by henry, i suppose. LOL. took some photos, but they are all with kassie. too bad. basically, had nasi briyani, mee goreng, curry chicken, satay chicken, mee siam and teh tarik. they wrote that there would be kuih there! but we didnt see any! LOL. but good enough ba, free msian food :) :)

met jing after law lecture today to go to her place to get her torts textbook, we are exchanging lecture material. haha. just so that we both benefit! :) carried a textbook all the way from churchill's to IH. tiring sia! :) but that's alright. thanks, sis for coming down to help when i reached IH. hahaha :)

badminton with ken, kelvin, saehoon, steven, kyloon, daryl, kassie, rahul, lisa, plat, sis just now. one hour only. hahahaha. very very short. but that's alright :) nice seeing you guys again (although just saw some of you at mamak night) LOL

should really get to studying now. so much to do and so little time. RARH.

take care, everyone!! :)

long day in uni

so as usual, tuesday is long. 6 hours of lecture.

brought a cup of cappuccino into class and yes, that makes me feel so much better during the whole 2 hour lecture! shall do that again!! :)

will be meeting up with chris, jing, shamila and faraz to talk and discuss about the law concerning duty of care tomorrow morning at 10am. hopefully that will be productive and help clear my mind for the problem assignment. somehow, i still dont have any sense of how to go about doing that assignment. might go for consultation with my lecturer to make sure that i get the law correct

got a letter from New College Village. Thought that it was going to tell me that i did not leave my room intact when i left. surprise! it was a letter to commend on my results last semester. haha. and interestingly, this is my address at NCV now:
LOL. HISTORY!! hahahahahahaha

there is also a parcel for me at IH office, shall go find out what that is tomorrow :)

read szeching's blog in the morning. and i realized that i miss singapore too. many of my friends are still there, and thinking of the good old time. hmm..

this week and next week are supposed to be hectic. shall try to get myself to focus!! jiayou, everyone! it will be spring break really soon.

btw, i have also managed to get my biological clock back to normal (: no more unearthly hour sleeping! haha. :) :)

OMG

Ooops! just realized that I abandoned my blog for more than a month already!

Anyway, uni has started and i m already in week 5 of 2nd semester. That is like more than one third done with this semester. Oh gosh, that reminds me of how little time i have left! Argh.

Before I go on to any other stuff,
CONGRATULATIONS TO MISS GAN SU YI, for being awarded President's Scholarships! woohoo! so proud of you, su yi!! I kinda knew that you were going to get it, that's why i kept a lookout on the newspaper for the past month! hahahaha. Congratulations ya! here is a pic that i think should be one of you favourite (for some reasons) Haha.

on the next note, after some frantic searches on the internet, dad and ergu will be coming to Australia during my spring break. so sis and i will be in melbourne again (that will be our third time there this year!) and hopefully we will make it to adelaide for maybe one or two days. Yay! :)

Staying at international house now, instead of New College Village. Meals are provided here, which means that I dont have to cook. The roundtables at the dining hall remind me of Oldham Hall, where we used to sit around, eat and talk for super long. Haha. Szeching, yeewon, dhar, phuong, quynh, ha, loan, rui ann, bel and many others!! Haha. I miss you guys! shall visit you guys sooooon!!! :) :) Not having to cook does save time, but sometimes i do miss the times when i talk crap for ages and poor kassie and kyloon who had to bear with my crappiness. haha.

uni has started for most people (since most people are still in singapore) haha. that means i can crash their hall when i m in singapore? haha. shall make sure ivy adopts me when i m there, ask daphne to go stay with kailun and ask honghu to stay on the street. wahahahaha ^-^
havent heard from yipeng, vivi, sining, shenyang, soumya for pretty long. guess everyone is busy with uni ya? :) michele passed her driving test! woohoo! congratulations, gal!! :) radhika should be preparing to go to UK. Haha, gal, i m really proud of you too!! enjoy yourself at Oxford! i am sure you will do very well!!! :) :)

i am still looking for a job. hopefully i get one really really soon. need to start earning money, since i m not paid to study now. hahaha :)

life has been busy so far. have no idea what i have been busy about. assignments? study? social life? play? shop? haha. i dont know.

btw, my crazy craving for food is back. went to eat at Gumshara Ramen, Eating World, Haymarket with kassie. Haha, i shall admit that the purpose of the trip was to eat ramen there! LOL. read the review here: http://grabyourfork.blogspot.com/2009/07/gumshara-ramen-eating-world-haymarket.html
researched a bit and found out that eating world opens at 10am. reached at about 1050am for brunch and found that there were ppl cooking behind the curtain, but it wasnt open for business yet. grab a drink and sat there and waited until 1130am!! hahahaha. reached early partly because i wanted to eat the pork spare rib noodle (they only sell 10 per day ya)
haha, expectedly, i was their first customer!! haha.
the main thing is of course, the food! the gravy is, as described, thick! it goes really well with the noodle and it was just WOOHOOOO!!! the pork ribe was fragrant and nice as well. overall, worth my wait!! hahahaha. kassie took a few photos, i think. but they are not with me. so ya, SORRY!

shall get back to study :) :) :) :)
